Don’t like the bad press from dozens of newspapers?
Just buy them.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports Macquarie Media Group Ltd., a subsidiary of Macquarie Bank and Cintra-Macquarie partner, has swallowed American Consolidated Media (ACM) for nearly $100 million.
The purchase allows one of the largest toll road operators in the world to control some of it’s industries most outspoken critics in Texas, dozens of rural independent Texas newspapers. (more…)

Ed Brown, Patriot
Ed Brown has barricaded himself in his home with supporters since January 9. He has sicne been convicted of tax evasion but will not come out. Ed Brown, the best of luck to you. Screw the fascist regime which has taken over this once great country. Remember boys and girls, they need your taxes to help prop up the empire.
Ed Brown refuses to contribute to his own country’s downfall. BTW, notice the media black out on this. Fox covered it temporarily. But it has mostly been missing people and winter weather. How convenient.
Not to mention he is associated with…wait for it…A MILITIA! DUN DUN DUUUUUN! Look out. THis willbe yet another reason as to why people should not form groups to protect themselves. There is also a link dump at the bottom for some related stories.

Holed-up tax protester, wife convicted
By PHILIP ELLIOTT, Associated Press Writer Thu Jan 18, 5:54 PM ET
CONCORD, N.H. - A man who has holed up with armed supporters in his cement-walled house for most of his tax evasion trial was found guilty Thursday, along with his wife, of failing to pay federal income taxes for a decade.

Ed Brown has said he will defend himself against capture if necessary.
U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier said Thursday that members of his staff continued talking by telephone with Brown and had no plans to confront him.
Ed Brown’s wife, Elaine, a dentist who earned most of the couple’s income, has been staying with a son in Massachusetts and attended the trial.
The Browns, of Plainfield, contend the law does not require them to pay federal income tax, while the government says the Browns owe more than $625,000. The Browns stopped paying income taxes in 1996 and stopped filing returns in 1998, a prosecutor said. They could each face decades in prison.

War, War and More War. The Empire at Work
Impeach Bush - Stop Attack On Iran
By Paul Craig Roberts
1-21-7
When are the American people and their representatives in Congress and the military going to wake up and realize that the US has an insane war criminal in the White House who is destroying all chances for peace in the world and establishing a police state in the US?
Americans don’t have much time to realize this and to act before it is too late. Bush’s “surge” speech last Wednesday night makes it completely clear that his real purpose is to start wars with Iran and Syria before failure in Iraq brings an end to the neoconservative/Israeli plan to establish hegemony over the Middle East.
The “surge” gives Congress, the media, and the foreign policy establishment something to debate and oppose, while Bush sets his plans in motion to orchestrate a war with Iran.

Global Warming Not caused by man

ST. PETERSBURG, January 15 (RIA Novosti) - Rising levels of carbon dioxide and other gases emitted through human activities, believed by scientists to trap heat in the Earth’s atmosphere, are an effect rather than the cause of global warming, a prominent Russian scientist said Monday.
Habibullo Abdusamatov, head of the space research laboratory at the St. Petersburg-based Pulkovo Observatory, said global warming stems from an increase in the sun’s activity. His view contradicts the international scientific consensus that climate change is attributable to the emission of greenhouse gases generated by industrial activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. The Armed American
Today I want to emphasize the importance of being an armed American. Just owning a gun isn’t enough. You need to be able to employ it with devastating effectiveness. I recommend getting a really good rifle, that you feel comfortable with, and take it to the range and learn exactly what you can do with it. You should be able to hit, say a watermelon with one shot at any range between 0 and 500 yards. This is not as hard as it sounds, and can be done with any center fire rifle that is capable of shooting a 5 shot group less than an inch at 100 yards. It may be costly to buy a good rifle but it is your duty to yourself, your family, your religion, and your country. Rifles that i recommend- AR-15 This is good, because they can be built with good quality parts for less than $600. It is accurate enough to shoot a 1″ group at 100 yards, and it shoots ammo that is fairly cheap and easily found. Remington 700- You can get them in virtually any caliber, I recommend the .30/06 or .308 winchester because they are both devastating calibers, that are former military calibers making them cheap and easy to find. I recommend a really good scope such as a Leupold or Nikon, remember you get what you pay for, so don’t buy a $800 dollar rifle and put a $50 scope on it. You can get good, cheap ammo at www.cheaperthandirt.com.
Im not saying don’t buy cheap guns, because there are lots of useful weapons that won’t break the bank. Ak-47’s are about $400 and are excellent weapons, however they have very poor accuracy at long ranges. Shotguns are great defense arms that can be had for less than $200 in some cases, I recommend the “riot” type models, from Remington and Winchester, or Mossburg. 12 ga. is the best choice because it has great knockdown power with buckshot and slugs, and is a great bird hunting gun as well. Handguns are important for defense when all else fails, you don’t want to bring only a pistol to a gunfight, they are only effective at close range. I recommend a popular caliber like 9mm, or .45 acp, or .357 magnum. Glock makes great pistols, when you need it to work, you want a gun not an excuse. 1911’s are great pistols, but they can be pricey, so this is another situation where you get what you pay for. But there are some surplus pistols that are good like the Makarov ($150) or CZ-52 ($100). Stay away from low priced “Saturday night specials”.
Take the time to enter firearms competitions, you don’t have to be young or fast, or even male. Anyone can do it, my wife thinks shooting is fun, and she is an incredible shot. In fact she routinely shoots beer cans at 300 yards, and is more devastating at 500 yards than I am. Women have better fine motor skills than men, which really helps with long range rifle shooting, because of the better trigger control that women have. IPSC is a sanctioning body that holds shooting contests all over the country. Also IDPA has them too, both are places that have talented shooters that can teach you a whole lot about good shooting.
Thanks for visiting revolution2008.net!!!
Well…not much to say here
Well, the constitution does not grant every citizen the right to Habeas Corpus…it just guarantees it can’t be removed. But that doesn’t mean you are expressly granted it…oh never mind. Watch the video and enjoy. This is our empire at work.

Revolution Radio may be dead, maybe not`
This letter explains most of it. The show has been canceled but I have contacted higher-ups and have, as of today, sent a letter to her. The letter is as follows,
Subject: E-mail of scenario as requested.
BODY:
Marci (unfortunately I can not read Melissa’s handwriting for the last name),
I am a Broadcast Journalism major, minoring in Political Science. I began my show last semester. The show is entitled Revolution Radio and I had blog posts on my personal blog http://www.revoution2008.net with links to any and all stories and research info I would be talking about that day. All the topics covered are current and not usually covered by mainstream media. I consider the show a sort of Jigsaw Puzzle of Disinformation that I put together with the listeners. Some of the more in depth topics I covered were TeenScreen and the New Freedom Initiatives which would mandate mental health testing and subsequent drugging of all American citizens, the North American Union and the SPP and Tangram, a CIA/NSA program to build massive databases on citizens. I also covered current legislative events such as the John Warner Defense Authorization Act and the Military Commissions Act of 2006. Along with civil rights/police state issues such as the UCLA student, Mostafa Tabatabainejad, who was tasered multiple times for refusing to show his papers in a school library. The music played was initially all metal, but I personally received calls from listeners who were loving the show but were sort of “shocked” when the metal would hit hard and loud. So I took their thoughts into mind and changed from all metal to metal, freestyle rap and even some reggae and folk. All of which went with the show premise and were politically charged one way or another. I did not receive any other negative comments personally after I made these concessions to the listeners.

Anti-First Amendment S.1 Passes Congress
Kurt Nimmo | January 19, 2007
It was bad enough George Bush Senior found it necessary to blame bloggers for creating what he deems an “adversarial and ugly climate” (never mind his particular bit of ugliness in Iraq more than a decade ago, eventually resulting in the murder of more than a million people), last month we had the Manchurian candidate, John McCain, introducing legislation “that would fine blogs up to $300,000 for offensive statements, photos and videos posted by visitors on comment boards, effectively nixing the open exchange of ideas on the Internet, providing a lethal injection for unrestrained opinion, and acting as the latest attack tool to chill freedom of speech on the world wide web,” as Paul Joseph Watson writes for Prison Planet. russia delivers tor-M1 anti-aircraft missile systems to Iran
Russia has delivered new anti-aircraft missile systems to Iran and will consider further requests by Tehran for defensive weapons, the Reuters news agency quoted Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov as saying on Tuesday.
“We have supplied the modern short-range anti-aircraft systems TOR-M1 in accordance with our contracts,” Ivanov told reporters “Iran is not under sanctions and if it wants to buy defensive … equipment for its armed forces then why not?”
A defence ministry source later told Reuters deliveries of hardware under the $1 billion deal, which has been criticised by the West, have not yet been completed. www.mosnews.com
